Welcome
- Nord-Aski, as a regional economic development corporation, plays a vital role in
promoting economic growth in four Northeastern Ontario
municipalities along Highways 11 and 631. The four communities are:
Constance Lake
First Nation, Hearst and vicinity, Hornepayne, and Mattice-Val Côté.

- Through concerted initiatives, Nord-Aski Regional Economic
Development Corporation acts as a catalyst to bring about and to
foster economic development initiatives in the Nord-Aski region.
- The name Nord-Aski is a combination of the French word 'Nord'
which means north and the word 'Aski' which means land in Objicree. The
region covers approximately 25,900 km² and it's a true paradise for nature lovers.
- We welcome you to visit our Web site and maybe someday, we will have the
opportunity to greet you in one of our communities. Our warm
hospitality is world renowned and for those who had the opportunity to visit us, they have
found the Nord-Aski region "hard to leave...and impossible to forget!".
